Reza Asal trained as a Massophysiotherapist in Western medicine and specialised in sports injury massage in Florence, Italy, in the 1990’s. In 2000 Reza Asal obtained his diploma in ‘Tuina’ (Traditional Chinese Massage) from the Florence school of Acupuncture. He has worked in many prestigious rehabilitation centres and now has his own successful private practice here in the UK. He is a teacher of Tuina and regularly speaks at conferences on alternative medicine and Chinese medicine.

Mr Gathercole became a Consultant in Accident and Emergency in 1985. He has always had an interest in the management of injuries and first became involved in Medico-Legal work in 1983. He has attended many Conferences on the subject, , including Report writing and giving Evidence (1997), the Single Joint Expert (1999), the Human Rights Act (2000), Spinal Injury in Medicolegal Reporting (2001), Advanced Report writing for experienced experts (2004), The Mental Capacity Act (2009), Consultants an trial (2009) and Witness training Course (2010). Mr Gathercole works for Solicitors in Personal Injury Cases representing both Plaintiff (70%) and Defence (10%) although more recently many reports are as joint expert (20%). He has prepared reports in approximately 40 Medical Negligence Cases and has written several thousand personal injury medical reports over the years, gaining considerable experience of court attendance as an expert witness.

Mr Gathercole has been involved with the Hospital Risk Assessment Group for many years and a member of the Manchester Medico Legal Society for 17 years. He is registered as an expert with several groups including APIL and is the Chief Medical Officer of Royal London Assurance in Wilmslow.

Dr Scheepers has been a Consultant in Neuropsychiatry for 15 years and he is included on the GMC Specialist Register as a specialist in Neuropsychiatry. He is currently employed part-time as a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist with North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust and he has a private medico-legal practice. He has experience in brain injury rehabilitation, epilepsy, somatoform disorders and developmental disorders. He has prepared Medico-legal Reports and attended Court as an Expert Witness since 1992 and he is a member of the Society of Expert Witnesses and is included on the Association of Personal Injuries Lawyers Expert database. He is recognised by the Secretary of State as having special experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorder under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.

Having worked for 30 years as a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) Dr Wilde has experience of a wide range of mental and physical health problems. She has worked extensively with adults, children, couples, families and groups to help them recognise and address the links between their distressing symptoms and the associated:

Dr Wilde is also an experienced hypnotherapist, having trained with the British Society for Experimental and Clinical Hypnosis. As a member of the EMDR Association Dr Wilde integrates CBT with Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) wherever traumatic memories are a contributing factor. Where appropriate she integrate the principles of Mindfulness and Compassionate Mind Training into her work with clients. As examples, Dr Wilde works with:

Alan Wick gained his diploma at the renowned Clifton Practice in Bristol. He trained in a style of hypnotherapy called Solution Focused Brief Hypnotherapy (SFBH), and believes that a positive, forward looking approach to treatment is the most effective way to help people back to happy, productive lives. He says;

Alan's background is in general nursing. He has a wife and two young sons. He was a nurse for over 20 years, mainly as a Senior Charge Nurse for BUPA, and as a Director of a Nursing and Care Agency, and then, most recently, nursing young, neurologically impaired adults. He now works as a full time hypnotherapist.
